Author Biography

Ivana Medić, Institute of Musicology, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Belgrade

Dr Ivana Medić is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Musicology, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She holds BA and MPhil degrees in musicology from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and a PhD from the University of Manchester. She is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Russian Music, Goldsmiths, University of London and a convener of the REEM Study Group for Russian and East European Music with the British Association for Slavic and Eastern European Studies (BASEES). She manages the international project Beyond Quantum Music funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Union (2019–2022). She is Vice President of the Serbian Musicological Society, President of the Board of the Secondary Music School Mokranjac and a member of several international professional associations. She has published five books and over 70 scientific papers, edited five thematic collections and participated in numerous conferences.
