Abstract

The Second Summer school as an optional course within Jean Monnet Module at the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, called Unity in Diversity: Local versus Global – Music and Art in the Shaping of the European Cultural Identity – ARTE, 587577-EPP-1-2017-1-RS-EPPJMO-MODULE was held at the Faculty of Music from 1st to 5th July 2019. The course was supported by Erasmus Plus Jean Monnet Programme of the European Union, Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, and The Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Serbia.

Author Biography

Milica Petrović, PhD student, Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade

Milica Petrović is a Ph.D. candidate with a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia. As a scholarship holder Milica Petrović was engaged in the Ministry-funded project of the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Music titled Identities of Serbian Music in the World’s Cultural Context no. 177019 from 2017 until the end of 2019. During her studies she researched diverse topics from the general history of music, but her principle preoccupation is with the national history of music, particularly Serbian Orthodox music and children’s church choirs.
